Roadmap to Reopen

Dear Church Family,
We look forward to our first in-person worship service – Beta Test Sunday – on June 7 at 9 a.m. The registration link for Beta Test Sunday will open at 6 a.m. on Friday, May 29, and can be accessed via the eNews or on the Roadmap to Reopen web page. Seating will be limited to 300, and we anticipate that seats will fill quickly.

In order to take care of our church family, we’ve taken many precautions to make the Houston Northwest Church campus as safe as possible in our reopening.

Sanitization Measures
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be located near every door and outside of all restrooms.
  • The entire campus is being fogged every 60 days with an antimicrobial coating.
  • Hard and soft surfaces are disinfected and sanitized before and after each service. Touched services will also be disinfected during services.

Social Distancing Measures
  • Entry/exit paths will be clearly marked through the Atrium to limit congregating.
  • Social distancing signage will be in place as a reminder.
  • Ushers will help seat participants to ensure social distancing. Families will be seated together.
  • Ushers will dismiss by row from back to front at the conclusion of the service.
  • Restroom capacity will be limited.

Touch-Free Measures
  • All doors will be open or will be opened for you by volunteers.
  • We ask that if you or a family member use a Bible or an item in one of the seat backs that you take it with you.
  • The Connect Card is available digitally via the HNW app.
  • Offering baskets will not be passed. We will provide offering receptacles at each of the three entry/exit doors of the Worship Center, or you may give online at HNW.org/give or through the HNW app.
  • Common areas (water fountains, coffee bars) are closed until Step 5.

Health-Related Measures
  • Based on CDC recommendations, we are asking those who have underlying health issues or are in the high-risk category to refrain from gathering at this time.
  • We’re asking those who are sick or have been sick in the past 14 days OR those who have been around others who have been sick to please join us for worship at HNW.org/live.
  • We are replacing air filters across campus.
  • We ask that you wear a mask (yes, even for singing) and practice social distancing should you choose to attend the service. Should you need to remove your mask, we ask that you step outside to do so.

We’re excited to take this next step as a family. This means erring on the side of caution in order to keep every single member of our family safe. This is how we serve one another. We continue to seek the LORD as we move toward reopening, and we covet your prayers for the same.

Because of Jesus,
Pastor Steve
