Christmastime has arrived at Houston Northwest Church!  That means children’s choirs and nativity plays, Christmas hymns, and beautiful decorations adorning the Commons and Worship Center.  The season of Advent gives us all the opportunity to fix our attention on the incredible gift of the Word made flesh, our Savior King, Jesus Christ.  We celebrate the hope, joy, peace, and love he brings, and this year we’ll reflect on how we, his people, can give that hope, joy, peace, and love to the world around us.  Join us throughout December as we celebrate the coming of Christ, the light of the world!

Advent Devotional.

Advent is a special time of year when we spend time each day remembering the importance of the Christmas season. Come along with us this Advent season as we remember the gift of Jesus. Jesus brought us hope, peace, joy, and love so we could share those gifts with others.

This year, the Advent Devotional was written by HNW members and some of our staff team. We are excited for you to see how the Lord spoke through the various voices of our church body to encourage you during Advent.

A special thank you to our writers Adrian Cazares, Audrey Williams, Bethany Scott, Jared McGuire, Mindy O'Bannon, Rohan Mundle, Sarah Delp, and Steve Bezner for using the talents the Lord has entrusted you with to serve our church!

Christmas Eve Services.

December 23  |  4 & 6* PM
December 24 |  4 & 6 PM

Before each service, we will have family-friendly activities, including hot cocoa and cookies, photo booths, and a live nativity!

All four Christmas Eve services are identical and will be streamed live via YouTube, Facebook, and HNW.org/live. Christmas Eve is a family service where kids of all ages and stages join their families! We have an element for kids at the beginning of the service, a goody bag during, and lighting candles at the end.

Students (6th - 12th grade), we're excited to invite you to sit together during the 4 PM service on December 23. Plus, join us for some fun in the Student Building during the 6 PM service. We can’t wait to hang out with you!

Serve with us on Christmas Eve.

Christmas brings many new faces to our church, so our need for volunteers for Christmas Eve services increases! If you're interested in helping each person to feel seen and cared for and to leave with a lasting impression of what it looks like to love like Jesus we would love your help!

Whether you’re serving Christmas cookies, holding a door, passing out candles, or sharing a Bible with a new believer, each role plays an important part in showing people Jesus.
